Information We Collect
Textin follows a Zero-Data Collection principle. We do not collect, store, or transmit any user personal data, including but not limited to, the following:
- Identity Information: Email addresses, phone numbers, usernames, or any other personally identifiable information.
- Identifiers: Device identifiers, IP addresses, location data, or any device-related tracking information.
- User Data: Any encrypted or decrypted content entered by the user.
Data Storage & Security
Textin employs End-to-End Encryption (E2EE) and Local Data Storage to ensure absolute security of user data:
- Private Key Management: Users' private keys are stored exclusively on their local devices. Textin does not have access to, store, or recover lost keys.
- Local Encryption Processing: All encryption and decryption operations occur exclusively on the local device; no data is transmitted to servers or cloud storage.
- No Data Sharing: Textin does not share any user information with third parties, including analytics companies, advertisers, or governmental entities.
Encryption Technologies
Textin utilizes industry-standard encryption protocols to ensure data security:
- Curve25519 for key exchange.
- ChaChaPoly for symmetric encryption.
- SHA-512 for data integrity verification.
